You can submit your application to hold an outdoor event in any one of Medways Parks,  Open Spaces or Highway, here.

Your event application will be allocated an event officer from the Events Medway Service who will work with you to get all the event documentation and necessary permissions in place.

Depending on the size of your event you will need to apply as below:
 
Size Audience capacity Lead in time (minimum)
Small 0 to 499 3 months
Medium 500 to 999 6 months
Large 1,000 to 4,999 9 months
Major 5,000 + 12 months


There is an application fee, and a payment link will be sent on submission:

Commercial £180
Community £60

You will need to provide the following documents.
  • Event Management Plan
  • Risk Assessment
  • Public Liability Insurance (£5million)
  • Site Plan
  • Traffic Management Plan (if applicable)
  • Medical Plan
  • Stewarding and Security Plan
  • Waste Management Plan
We will also engage with Medway Safety Advisory Group and other key Medway Council departments to review and advise on your event application.
