Welcome to Lewisham EventApp

For all applications to Beckenham Place Park, please visit the dedicated version of EventApp here.

Thank you for your interest in holding your event in one of Lewisham’s Parks or Open Spaces.

As leaseholders of parkland, we must be sure that all event organisers will be able to run their proposed event in a safe and professional manner. You will find guidance notes accompany the enclosed application form in order to give you guidance when completing the document. These notes are for your reference and are yours to keep.

The role of Glendale is to work together to help and oversee events. We will provide the venue for the event, which we maintain within the remit of our contract with Lewisham Council. Due to licensing laws, you will need a premises licence to hold an event within the park.

As part of the application process we pay specific attention to health and safety and insurance. If as the organiser of the event you require any extra labour or machinery from Glendale, you will be charged at cost price for these services.  There will be a non-refundable administration fee payable to Glendale to process these forms, at a cost of £80 + VAT for an event of over 100 in attendance and £40 + VAT if below 100 in attendance.

It will be your responsibility as organisers of the event, to ensure adequate provision of public toilets/ portaloos are at the venue. A small number of parks in the Lewisham Borough do have toilets, although you must take into careful consideration how many toilets you will need, based upon how many people there will be attending your event. We will assist you in calculating the number required.

Vehicles are not authorised on parkland at any time, if you require access to a park, it must be agreed in writing beforehand.

Your event will need to be authorised by an authorised officer of the London Borough of Lewisham. The officer will receive recommendations from Lewisham’s Events Safety Advisory Group (ESAG). After receiving your application and supporting documentation.

Once we have received your application, we may require a full Event Management Plan. Information and can be found here: https://www.thepurpleguide.co.uk/

If you have any queries regarding the event application process, please contact me and I will be happy to help. I wish you every success and look forward to working with you.
